Wasn’t planning on working today really so I could get on top of the enormous amount of washing a family of 4 seem to accumulate in a 2 week trip but had a few people I couldn’t squeeze in elsewhere. It’s been an admin and Ariel heavy day! Loved catching up with all my weight loss clients either over the phone or in person and managed to clear out some really quite complicated ears on my second attempt! A day of variety here at YWC today and I’d have it no other way 🥰

I cannot describe how satisfying earwax removal is to me!

There’s a few methods we can do - generally the safest option is microsuction (put a camera into your ear then a small metal tube attached to a suction machine which then just sucks it out), but we can also do irrigation - also known as ‘syringing’ - we use a machine that gently squirts warm water into your ear to flush the wax out (this used to be the way that the GP surgeries generally took it out), or we can use specialist tiny tools to remove it manually. All depends on what your ear is like, the consistency of the wax, your medical history and of course your preference if you have one, as to which we choose. Or we might mix it up a bit and use a combination of all 3!

Why come to us? Performed by an experienced registered nurse, in a CQC regulated clinic and fully insured. And the most important part- I absolutely love doing it! It’s so satisfying (mouth-wateringly) and I really enjoy that ‘oh wow I can hear again!’ moment we usually get. Absolutely no fear of whatever you’re harbouring in your ear grossing me out.

What do you need to do? - just olive oil in your ears for 3 days before we see you and sit still while we do it - that’s it!
